Athletic Assessments
In order to improve athletic performance, it's important to start at the beginning.
The beginning is to assess how the Athlete moves.
The movement assessment will evaluate the ankles, hips, and shoulders. The assessment reveals how the entire body is globally stabilizing during certain movement patterns. After the assessment information is collected, Corrective Movement exercises that address the dysfunctional movement areas are incorporated into the workouts.
Corrective Movement
It is important to create better movement and mobility at the ankles, in the hips, and for the shoulders. Equally important is training the "core" to properly engage during global movements. Performing correct movements and mobility exercises will expand the range of motion (ROM) in these areas.
Correct lifting form and proper lifting technique, combined with increased mobility, will ensure quality strength gains.
Quality strength gains can only be added when there is quality movement and quality joint mobility. My approach to developing quality strength is combining kettlebell exercises with bodyweight exercises. This combination will build an athletic machine. These exercises are global multi-joint exercises, they will expand joint ROM, build quality strength, train the core to properly engage, improve flexibility, and deepen the cardio-stamina base. The sessions are intense, yet, satisfying...
Golf Performance Training
I'm a golfer. And being a golfer, I understand and know what is involved with the golf swing. I know how important posture is in the set up, I know that flexibility and balance are important in the take away, the downswing, and the follow through.
Training the body for power, flexibility, rotational moves, core engagement, and mobility corrections, is a solid recipe to increase and improve golf conditioning, (not scoring). Come see me to improve your Golf Performance.
